Capacities of First Responders Need To Improve

Humanitarian crisis is becoming a severe reality in recent times and for the people of Southwest region in Bangladesh are suffering immensely because of Cyclone i.e. Sidr 2010, Mora 2017. Increased frequency and intensity of cyclone, along with changes in annual rainfall patterns have already resulted in severe shortages of livelihoods in the concerned area and forcing people to migrate out of this region.

Lipi Rahman, Executive Director of community based organization (CBO) named Badabon Sangho facilitating local youth clubs led need assessment in southwest districts in Bangladesh. It is important to learn from communities experience thus she led a total 5 FGDs and 6 KIIs in five districts where 56 people including 50% women participated.
