Collaborative Surge between Christian Aid and Save the Children during Cyclone Vardah

Project: Transforming Surge Capacity 26th July 2017

This case study traces the first deployment from Go Team Asia, a regional shared roster established under the Transforming Surge Capacity project, during the response to Cyclone Vardah in January 2017. The study shares learning from the collaboration between Save the Children, who deployed a Logistics Specialist to Christian Aid, who responded to the emergency in Tamil Nadu. It sheds light on collaborative rosters as a mechanism for improved surge response in the Asia region.
