In a crisis, local people and local agencies are usually first to respond. Our DEPP projects have worked together to develop their capacities to ensure that communities are better prepared for emergencies.

This briefing paper explains the approaches that DEPP takes to developing locally led responses, and provides examples of successes we have had so far.
