Insights into Talent Development and DEPP simulation trainings

Project: Talent Development 28th March 2018

Increasingly humanitarian organisations are using simulations in order to embed learning, either as part of a training programme or through a stand-alone event. Despite their more frequent application there has been little systematic effort to evaluate and improve these trainings. Through the analysis of simulations run under the Talent Development project (TDP) and by sister DEPP-funded projects as well as other learning simulations, this study seeks to identify some good practice that assists in optimising the embedding of learning for participants.

This study includes good practice around the design and adaptation of simulations, the facilitation process, the facilitation team and debriefing.
