Policy Paper: Appeal for Strengthening Locally Led Preparedness Systems for Disasters and Emergencies Response in North Kivu Province

This policy paper came out of a national Learning Conference organised by the DEPP Country Learning Advisor in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which provided a space for disaster preparedness and response practitioners to share experiences and connect with each other to strengthen collaboration at country level. This paper lays out the background from a global perspective, the current national challenges, as well as key actions for achieving locally-led preparedness for disasters and emergencies response in North Kivu Province.
