Reflection from Entry-Level Needs Assessment: Is It Possible To Have A Fast And Effective Response If Relevant Capacity Is Absent At the Grass Root Level?

Project: Talent Development 12th September 2017

Shafiqur Rahman took part in a facilitated needs assessment in Chittagong Hill as part of the Talent Development project’s Entry Level Trainee scheme.  In this blog he reflects on five key questions:

Do we have the rescue skills and relevant equipment for fast recovery?

Do we have proper early warning systems based on context and diversification of natural disaster?

Do we have clear mapping of vulnerable areas?

Do we have emergency communication mapping systems?

Do we have emergency education systems to put in place?
