Why Urban Food Insecurity is a National Issue

Majority of the current food security intervention efforts are focused on the arid and semi-arid counties of Kenya and little or no support is being given to the vulnerable in the urban slums. Something must be done and needs to be done to resolve this. Increased political will, policy innovation and outright commitment are key to reversing the fatal downward spiral caused by food insecurity.
